The day before Mother's Day, I was hurrying everyone out the door because Tyler was late to paddling. Tyler ended up running back in the house just when everyone had gotten in the car (grrr.) So I came in after him snapping, "What are you doing?! Why are you getting money?! You don't need that! Get out in the car! Gramma is going to drive you to paddling! Get going!!" He looked up at me with sad eyes and said, "But Mom, I just wanted to buy something for you..."
Oh! Stab me in the heart! I am so mean!
I called Gramma's phone after they left and talked to Tyler and told him how neat he is and thoughtful and how I want to be more like him!
The next morning I woke up to this:
(Yellow sign on the wall says "Look Down". Pink sign on box says, "To Mom, Love Tyler)
That Guy.
He got me a gift.
Gramma said he thought of the whole thing. He knew the store, he knew what he wanted, and he spent his own money to get it for me (with a little help from Gramma!).
He got me a bag of assorted sea shells :-) He was so pleased with himself and loved looking at all the cool shells with me <3 p="">
Kaili and Sina also picked out a big clam shell and Gramma said they smelled every bar of soap in the store to get the perfect one <3 p="">
Then they woke up early, Mother's Day Morning, and did this:
I Love You pancakes and French Toast! (My favorite!) Yum!
Thank goodness for my Cute Kids! Thank goodness for Family! Thank goodness for love! Thank goodness for the atonement! Thank goodness for Tyler, Kaili, Sina and Cruz! Thank goodness for Grammas! Thank goodness for Brad! Thank goodness for I Love Yous! Thank goodness for feeling special! Thank goodness for all of it! <3 p="">
