Butter Balls

Yesterday I spent the day sewing. When I say "day", I mean the ENTIRE day. We started at about 9:00 and I don't think I left till about 5:30! It was a good day. We finished our project, ate good food and enjoyed each other's company.
Before sewing, Brad showed the kids that BIG KIDS have BIG TOYS.
Sina talked about Kaili's Bike getting crushed...ALL DAY!
What great fun. Now I have to buy a new bike...
Later that night, I walked into my bathroom to this horrid smell! Why was this so odd, well, overwhelming butter smells do not typically come from this area of the house. For this smell, I'd like to thank Pinterest.
Pinterest had this great idea that using PAM on your windows would help get the hard water stains off. I thought, "Great, let me try this. Heaven knows I've got hard water stains!" I had taken the PAM into the bathroom, but never got around to trying it out. The bottle, however, stayed in the bathroom.
Bad idea! Little Miss Mouse found it and what FUN is a spray nozzle to a 2 year old! By the time I found it, no one was in sight, the place smelled awful, and there were nice bubbly piles of grease all over my bathroom! Most the floor, sink and toilet areas. Where else would it be, you might ask? Well, No one though to shoot the windows. And yes, they still have hard water stains on them!
I couldn't even yell at anyone cause I didn't know, FOR SURE, who done it! They are both really good at blaming the other one.
Tyler made this out of play dough today and asked me to put it on the blog...so...here it is. Actually pretty impressive, if you ask me!
Catepillar Update:
They are either rotting or doing what they are supposed to do. But the first one is turning orange/burnt looking on the top. Maybe it's the monarch wings? Hopefully! :-)

Recap

A few days have passed. Here are the highlights:
Prince Kuhio Day = Beach Day!
Fisherwomen...JR caught them a fish. The girls were SURE he was JUST "taking a nap"!
Sina got a scratch and I asked her where she got it..., "Ummm, ghost." Really? A ghost did that to you? That's the story you came up with?!? "Ummm, Yeah!" Here is her story http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5juMtxEhIok&feature=channel
I think every child tries one of these on at least once in their life time ;-)
Caterpillar update: Another cocoon! Actually, we really do have 2 cocoons right now, I just haven't taken a picture yet...but when Kaili left her bed this morning, this is how she ended up. It was just too cold this morning!

YEAH for friends!

Not only is it great to see old friends, hang out, talk, reminisce about past youth experiences, play Legos, do each others make up, play Play Dough, explore and so on...getting together with friends always calls for some GOOD EATS! We cooked for only a FEW hours while the big girls kept the little girls busy! Tyler, of course, was busy with his new box 'o toys.
Food was good! (10 cups of sticky rice was mostly gone in 20 minutes!) Friends were Awesome! Laughs were happy! Night was great!
Caterpillar Update:
Our first Caterpillar turned to a "J" (getting ready to turn into a chrysalis). Some how it got knocked off it's hanging spot (couldn't have had anything to do with the loving way the kids carry around the basket all over the house), so Tyler thought it had died. Found the caterpillar as I swept this afternoon (no, the dead caterpillar did not make it into the garbage can...). Interestingly, it had started to change into the Chrysalis. It's body was splitting at the top of the "J" I told Tyler what it had started to do. His reply: I though those were the guts coming out. Hmmm, I guess this sort of mistake could happen to anyone! Oops!
Here is #2 caterpillar...starting to hang like a "J"...hopefully he lasts longer than the last one!

Hunger Games

Got to see MY MOVIE last night! I must say, they did a much better job with this movie than they did with Twilight (thank goodness!)...still...the book was better-OF COURSE!

My only problem with the whole night was the bit of stomach pains I had in the middle of the movie. My upset tummy caused me to miss a good 5-10 minute chunk of my movie AND they made me use the PUBLIC RESTROOMS! Yuck!

Could have done with out that!

Movie=Good
Tummy Ache=Bad!

On another note, came home to find a tornado had whipped through my house leaving traces of opened half-eated bags of marshmellows, pretzels, and V8 drinks (at least they got their servings of fruits and veggies this evening! Luckily, the kids were safely asleep where they had landed, in front of the TV :-)

Run, Run, Run, as Fast as You Can!

Today is Saturday, which should mean I get to sleep in, and relax, and rest, and recharge for the week to come...but no! Woke up early, cut fruit for an HOUR (made a divine fruit salad!!!), ran off to Waimea for a windy RUGBY game!
Tyler is modeling the NEON orange socks today (so we could spy him better in the pictures!)
Scored a TRI!!!
Spectators :-)
Then off to a baby shower. And finally, home with our newest family memebers!
Kaili's Science Project...Monarch Butterflies! A friend called us up and asked if we wanted some caterpillars...ummm, yes!!

These Boots Were Made for Walking...

Sina has inherited some tremendously awesome cowboy (girl) boots! Yee-haw!
We don't walk our dog, just the kids...
After a long, hard day on the ranch...this girl took some much needed rest, after breaking into my candy closet and downing half a bag of gummy letters....Don't worry, the sugar kicked in almost immediately and she slept for a mere 3 minutes before she was jumping into the pool with the rest of the herd!

Coconuts for dinner...Anyone?!?!

Brad got home early last night and made dinner for everyone!
It was only AFTER eating about 2 dozen coconuts that I remembered the warning my good friend had told me about coconuts only days before...If you drink a lot of coconut milk, it will help you with your "runs" :-)
