Back To Reality...

 

After an entire summer on the mainland, traveling from Southern Utah to Nevada, Oregon and California...we have finally made it back to our own land.  Back to the grind we go. Back to reality...

 

But first, I think a trip to Pololu Valley is in order :-)

Tyler found a treat in the river!

He decided to take it home and cook it for dinner :-)

First we washed,

Then we cooked,

Then we watched him chow it down...it only took a mere 5 minutes of starting at it before he (FINALLY) chomped it!

Another satisfied customer :-)

I Wish I Had One In My Backyard...

We got to go with the Matiks to visit the National Redwood Forest!  The kids found a lot of oversized things here....maybe the Giants used to roam these parts in the old days...

The kids fed the ducks cattails :-)  Tricked them every time!

Beach Construction?!

Looking for more tide pools...

Too bad low tide was low at 6:00am and we got there about noon...

Oh well, still fun to play in the cold, wet, sand!

Brian and Tyler helped a bum build a new shelter

Able to support a full grown man's weight! Just in case any full grown men wanted to crawl around the top of the shelter :-)

All in a good day's work!
