FINALLY!!!
Woke up around 5:15 am with a little different squeeze in my tummy...just what I've been waiting for! Told Brad he better not head to Kona today, we were going to have the baby. He said, "But I've got this job...I gotta go...I can't stay here..."
I said, "Look, the baby's birthday is going to be 5-4-13! He'll be a Star Wars Baby!
Brad said, "Wow, wait a second. You're really sure this is happening today?"
I said, "Ummm, yeah! I'm a week overdue and I'll be having this baby by noon :-)"
So Brad said, "Oh, then I guess I will stay around town today."
Mom was sure she did not want to deliver the baby herself, so I called the midwife and they arrived around 10:00. She checked me in at about 6-7 cm, 70% effaced, -1 (where the head is stationed in the pelvis). Got the tub filled up. We were ready to go!
