Animal Sanctuary?

Since our run with baby animals hasn't gone so well (they keep dying on us), perhaps we will change the name of our little place from vet to Animal Sanctuary.  A place where little animals can come and feel loved and well cared for and safe and...oh, wait....I forgot who we were dealing with here....they can feel smothered.

Loving and smothering are two in the same, right?

This cat has adopted us.  It could be because his real family just doesn't give him the same care and attention he gets from this family, or it could be the half a bag of dog food, tuna, eggs, and milk the girls leave out on the front door each morning.  Not sure which...

This is actually the best pet I could ever ask for. It comes by about 30 minutes a day, just long enough to be a super novelty.  Then it goes home.  I don't have to deal with kitty litter, hair, fast-food-dog-incidences, or any other annoyances that come along with having a pet.  It's great :-)

The turtle, above, is actually ours.  Our wonderful neighbor decided to move to Maui and gift him to us...how thoughtful :-)  Kids are loving him too.  They like to take him out in the grass and let him crawl around.  We have found that the dog and the turtle are not the best of friends.  The dog actually thinks of the turtle more as...dinner...
