My friend does a fun thing for conference, so we totally copied her. She does Conference Workshops. Each person in the family plans a workshop in between morning and afternoon conference sessions. Our first workshop was making tents like King Benjamin's people!
I had the kids create a stencil and spray paint over it. They each chose to use their first initial on their tent. Brad helped them make a frame out of some wood and PVC pipe. We just draped the sheets over the top of the frames, ties them on and set them up in front of the TV ready to watch the next session! The kids loved it!
Tyler wanted to make marshmallow guns. We cut the pipe (later we spray painted them different colors so we could tell them apart). Everyone had to screw their guns together to create the gun they wanted.
It was so fun!
We went in the back yard and shot at each other until our marshmallow bags were empty!
