After the cousins left...the ranch got "boring" (Truly! how could you say those words at the ranch!?) So what do you do when a child is bored? Get them baby chicks, of course!
These were the best pets we have ever gotten! They were cute and fun and they even learned to hang out where the kid's voices were....and then we got to give them away after 4 days! It was great!

And of course, the never-ending job of chopping wood (barefoot is the only way to go!) This became Tyler's beloved job. (I guess no one mentioned that it was actually work! )
